(1493) 2018 NON-FIDE RATED PALAU RAPID CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP ON APRIL FOOLS' DAY (TBN-March 19, 2018)

2017 PRCC AND 2018 WCO CAPTAINCY BETWEEN ME AND TITO
Tito Cabunagan, right, is volunteering to be the Team Captain of Palau Open Team to 2018 World Chess Olympiad in Batumi, Georgia to give way for Angelo Salvadora, 2nd from left, his first Olympiad participation. I conceded my candidacy to be the Team Captain to avoid an extreme complication that may arise by doing so and prefer to be Head of Delegation to help both the Open and Women’s team in preparing against very tough opposition. Bheng Mission, 2nd from right, is a member of Palau Women’s Team that includes Joan Gemota, Jennifer Angeles, Angie Parrado and Angelica Magno with the possible captaincy of Joy Flores Whipps to be contested between her and Dennis Gonzales for the election by PCF Board Members on March 25, 2018. In case any of the Women’s team member didn’t make it, Angelil Sisior is on a standby for possible replacement.

              APRIL FOOLS' DAY

AS PER Palau Chess Federation Board Meeting on Monday, March 12, the 2nd tournament of the year, the 2018 Palau Rapid Chess Championship will be held on April Fools’ Day, the 1st, which is also Easter Sunday from 2 pm onward.
