FOR 2018 WORLD CHESS OLYMPIAD
4,000 chess players, officials, coach, media from 185 participating countries caused the delay of our flight from Istanbul to Batumi. It's good that Open Team Captain of Palau Chess Team had an early flight in the morning trip to Batumi to have at least 1 rep in the Opening Ceremony of 2018 WCO. I have attended the Opening Ceremony of 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 World Chess Olympiads.

CEREMONY BECAUSE OF 2 HRS. DELAYED FLIGHT
The 12 hours flight from Manila to Istanbul, Turkey is worth it as I have watched 4 movies (2 XMen, Spider Man 3, and the Queen of Katwe), which was suggested to me by a cashier at Surangel Store as it is about chess in Africa.
I can't sleep so I have watched these 4 movies till 4 am. The 5th movie (Tower Heist) was only halfway as breakfast was served.
There is another 11 hours of waiting time before our flight to Batumi with Tito gong ahead of us for a 6:30 am flight to Batumi. The rest of us will fly at 5:30 pm.
Nine of the members have planned to spend those hours roaming around Istanbul for shopping especially at the Grand Bazaar where me and CM Bernard Garcia had shopped during the 2012 World Chess Olympiad in Istanbul.

Me and Cyril proceed to the gate where the early flight to Batumi has left early. We thought that it is the same gate that we will pass through in going to Batumi. We tried the free wi-fi but it's not working so we just sleep.
We learned that those 9 teammates of us didn't able to leave the Istanbul airport because they need visa to go out of the airport. It cost $20.00 and they don't accept cash, only through credit card but they can't get through on line to pay. They just have lunch of fried chicken, fries, also within the airport.
Me and Cyril had lunch of sandwich and juice. Later when we joined them, we waited and the gate have been changed 4 times.
