(1476) MUSIC AND ME (Nov. 23, 2017) REAL SPANISH GUESTS THIS TIME

6 SPANISH GUESTS AT BREEZE BAR IN AUG. 21, 2017
I was told by the cashier of Breeze Bar of Palau Royal Resort that there are Spaniards guests near the railing. I tested them if they are really Spanish by playing Spanish songs. They really are! I've learned my lesson from my experience with Edgar Cayanan, who asked me to play Spanish songs for the European guests but later found out that they are Italians!            (Photo by Roberto Hernandez)

  REAL SPANISH GUESTS THIS TIME
Seven years ago, Edgar Cayanan, the Food and Beverage Manager of Palau Royal Resort, asked me to play Spanish songs to the European guests at the left front of the piano (elevated section).
I played all my Spanish songs and no applause from them. While they are paying their bill, I played the most popular Italian song I know, Volare, and they applauded.
Edgar! THEY ARE ITALIANS, NOT SPANISH.
Although they are about to leave, I was still about to play 3 Italian songs while they are paying their bills. One of them gave me $5.00 tip.
Since then, every time that I will be playing Spanish songs, I want to make sure that they are really Spanish.
So, in Aug. 21, 2017, when the cashier of Breeze Bar of PRR
told me we have Spanish guests, I reiterated if they are really Spanish. She is sure so I play all Spanish songs as they are the only guests at that time.
All the songs that I have played, many of them will sing-along so I am sure that they are really Spaniards.
After playing more than 5 Spanish songs, I go to them with my notebook that has a list of all Spanish songs that I know and asked them what they would like to request among those songs: 1. Adios Mariquita Linda 2. Amor, Amor, Amor 3. A Veces Tu, A Veces Yo 4. Cielito Lindo 5. Cu-curu Cu-Cu Paloma 6. Eres Tu 7. Espana Cani 8. Historia de un Amor 9. Isla En El Sol 10. La Bamba 11. La Malaguena 12. La Paloma 13. Nathalie 14. Noche de Ronda 15. Noche Azul 16. Paloma Blanca 17. Quando, Quando, Quando 18. Quien Sera 19. Quijote 20. Quizas, Quizas, Quizas 21. Rancho Grande 22. Un Sentimental 23. Volver a Empezar 24. Y Viva Espana and of course, Besame Mucho, Hey and Solamante Una Vez. Not included is Christmas song Feliz Navidad.
They gave me $4.00 tip and have a photo session at 11:00 pm...

I also search the FIDE website for the top 100 active chess players of Spain, who hosted the 2004 World Chess Olympiad in Calvia, Spain.
