(279) PALAU PLAYERS NAME TAG

Before the start of every tournament game in Palau, players name tags such as these must be visible to... LET THE GAME BEGINS!



Old placecards were use and some masking tape and pictures cutouts.

Jielton Cabierte -Primary School student
Jimboy de Jesus -works at Maris Stella School
Mario Ramos - the 'Knight' of Palau Chess, he is taking care of the horses of his boss.
Danny Dandoy --high school teacher at Palau High School
Jess Toldoya - has earned one Arbiter's norm during the 2006 Palau Invitational Chess Championship




Edwin Eti -- blitz chess specialist
Joel Azana - moderate improvement in chess
Kelvin Cuenco -- late comer
Jose Omega -Twice Class B champ, once regular chess champ.


John Pastrana -- too busy for chess.
Roberto Hernandez -- trying all kinds of stuff to promote chess in Palau.
Lin de Guzman -- sponsored the 2004 Non-master chess tourney.
Joeven delos Santos -- Eti's friend, average chess player.




Xyron Singson -- now a high school student
Ken Pastrana -- excellent keyboard player. Taught by Roberto Hernandez. Now a member of The Yuan Band.
William Blasquino -- 1-1 record against Roberto in 2005 Rapid Chess tourney.
Jess Gomez -- had he finished the 2005 Rapid Chess tilt, he should have been in the top 5.
