             A VERY BUSY 4th ROUND -- 23 GAMES!
(2003 Senior and Junior Chess Tournament)

Co-top seed Cyril Montel, Jr. (1740 National rating) played 2 games in the 4th round of 2003 Senior and Junior Chess Tournament and lost both to Jess Toldoya (1510) and co-top seed Menandro Manuel (1740) respectively.

Toldoya needed only 28 moves of English Opening to subdue Montel, Jr. with the white pieces while Manuel, with the black pieces, consumed every ounce of his resources to clobber Montel, Jr. in a longer 33-move conquest using the Sicilian Defence Najdorf Variation.
