Interestingly, Pax resigned in both games on the 41st move being down by a whole rook and 3 pawns in both games!

In the first round of 2011 PNCC, Menandro Manuel, left, lost to Paquito Suringa, Jr., right, and drew with Angie Parrado in the 2nd round. This time at 2012 PNCC, Menandro clobbered Pax in the opening day but the latter equalized in this 2nd game match with a very good positional game by Pax.

Geoff Martin was accomodated with the joining of Ferdinand Gutierrez (1567 rating). Here he played against Dennis Gonzales using the 20 minutes for each player to finish the game time control because Dennis has to leave at 2:30 pm. Dennis won and made it on time for his appointment.

Cyril Tomas Montel, Jr., the top seed at 1943 rating, dealt CM Bernardo Garcia his first loss. Cyril declined the draw offer of Bernard because he is ahead by 2 pawns.

After losing to Dennis, Geoff played vs. Zachary Techall Whipps and lost again. The lady practicing with Mr. Hilario, Bheng Codinera Mendoza would like to join also. It will be possible if one of the participant will withdraw.

3rd straight wins for Nilo de Jesus on Sunday alone. He defeated Dennis 2 weeks ago. He's the only undefeated player now in Class B with 4 straight.

Escapatoria and Celiz should have played their 2nd game after this because they have played only 3 games in 4 weeks. The event will conclude on Dec. 02. They have to play 11 games in 4 weeks.
