This is what it look like when a Grandmaster plays many players at the same time. PIICC invited player Joselito Marcos will try to play a simultaneous game vs. Palau players with 1600 or less rating during his stay in Palau for the 3rd PIICC.

3RD PIICC DAILY SCHEDULE
THE METICULOUS juggling of the participants’ available time has been 98% finished and the 3rd Palau Invitational International Chess Championship (PIICC) is now set to start on Dec. 14-19, 2011 at Conference Room of Palau Royal Resort if things go smooth.
The Daily Schedule is as follows: On Dec. 14 (Wed.) the program for the Opening Ceremony starts with Organizer Roberto Hernandez leading the 5-minute opening prayer at 8:30 am followed by welcome remarks from Palau Royal Resort General Manager Isao Takahashi. At 8:45, the invited players Dr. Alfredo Paez from Philippines and Joselito Marcos from Papua New Guinea will make a short speech.
The Ceremonial First move will be made by Mr. Takahashi at 9:00 am against Dr. Paez, who is playing Palau’s top chess player Cyril Tomas Montel, Jr. in the only game of the morning session. Eight more games will be played from 2:00 pm onwards, with Montel facing co-employee at Palau Pacific Resort Bernardo Garcia at 2 pm.
Marcos will then play 11-year old George Anzawa at 4 pm followed by 4 games that will start at 6:00 pm—Paez vs. Garcia; Menandro Manuel vs. Tito Cabunagan; Anzawa vs. Dennis Gonzales and Jeff Balbalosa vs. Montel. Late night games are between Manuel vs. Balbalosa and Gonzales vs. Hernandez at 9:00 pm.
There are 9 games on Dec. 15 (Thu): Montel vs. Marcos 9 am; Garcia vs. Anzawa 1 pm; Hernandez vs. Marcos 2pm; 4 games again at 6:00 –Balbalosa vs. Paez; Hernandez vs. Manuel; Cabunagan vs. Montel; Gonzales vs. Marcos; 2 games again at 9 pm between Cabunagan vs. Paez and Balbalosa vs. Hernandez.
On Dec. 16 (Fri.), only 7 games are set: Montel vs. Hernandez at 9am; 5 games at 6 pm—Marcos vs. Garcia; Paez vs. Hernandez; Manuel vs. Anzawa; Balbalosa vs. Cabunagan and Gonzales vs. Montel. The lone game at 9pm is between Gonzales and Cabunagan.
The most number of games to be played in one day is on Sat. Dec. 17 with 3 games at 9 am—Cabunagan vs. Marcos; Garcia vs. Manuel and Anzawa vs. Balbalosa. There’s only one game at 12:00 noon between Anzawa and Cabunagan. 3 games at 1:00—Hernandez vs. Garcia; Marcos vs. Balbalosa and Manuel vs. Paez. There are 2 games at 4:00 pm—Garcia vs. Balbalosa; Cabunagan vs. Hernandez. There’s also one game at 5 pm between Paez and Anzawa likewise at 6pm between Manuel and Gonzales.
There are 7 games on Sunday, Dec. 18. At 9 am, Anzawa vs. Montel and Gonzales vs. Paez. One game each at 12 noon between Balbalosa and Gonzales, at 2pm—Montel vs. Manuel, at 3pm—Garcia vs. Gonzales, at 6pm—Garcia vs. Cabunagan and at 7pm, Marcos vs. Manuel.
On the last day of the tournament, Dec. 19, only 2 games are scheduled between Hernandez and Anzawa and the top 2 seeds Paez vs. Marcos. At 5:00 pm, the Awarding Ceremony will be held with the Program as follows: 5pm –Thanksgiving Prayer by Roberto Hernandez, at 5:05 pm, Awarding Remarks by PRR GM Isao Takahashi.
At 5:15, the awarding of the 6th place will be given by Marcos’ last born daughter Jamie Kirstie while the 5th place honor will be awarded by Mrs. Adele Anzawa at 5:20 pm. The 4th place award will be given by Marcos’ wife Margarita at 5:25 pm. At 5:30, the 3rd place will be awarded by Mr. Bhoey Gopez, Jr.
if the storyboard trophy that he will donate for the champion will be finished in time. Mr. Tadao Anzawa, father of George, will give the 1st runner-up award at 5:35 and the champion will get his cash prize and storyboard from PRR GM Isao Takahashi.
