Roberto Hernandez scored the first half point of Palau Chess Team to 2014 in his game against Guam, composed of 6 all-Filipino chess team, in the 3rd round. He won against British Virgin Isles' top player Maurice Tettsome. He rested on the 4th round where the Palau Open team was swept by Honduras.
