                   DEVELOPMENT PLAN
        FOR PALAU CHESS FEDERATION 


Palau Rating Officer Jamie Kenmure of Australia is working on how to get support from World Chess Federation (FIDE) and Asian Chess Federation (ACF) for the chess development plan for Palau Chess Federation. It’s not final yet but it was filled-up by almost all board members of PCF.

The following is the proposed plans:

No paying members but have 15 active players. Around 121 listed with 103 rated players but less than 90 on island.

Planned team events –3 players from Palau Pacific Resort (Cyril Tomas Montel, Jr., CM Bernardo Garcia and Eugene Labarda); 3 players from Palau Royal Resort (Roberto Hernandez, Paquito Suringa, Jr., and Felix Oling); 3 players from PPUC (Tito Cabunagan, Jose Celiz, Neph Macasaet); 3 players from Surangel’s and Sons (Jeffrey Balbalosa, Angelica Parrado and Rafael Paloma) to compete in the first ever team chess championship next year.
