LIVE SING-ALONG BEFORE DINNER AT
2014 WORLD CHESS OLYMPIAD IN NORWAY
The complete 11-member Palau Chess Team is about to have dinner at Raddison Blu at 6:30 pm but the place is still close and will open at 7:30. With an hour to spare, Roberto Hernandez tried to play the Yamaha upright piano near the entrance. There are 4 chess players from Zambia next to the piano. Roberto tried to play it but the sustain pedal is not working. He can't play properly if the sustain pedal is not working. He played one song (Fallin' by Teri de Sario) but didn't finish it.He open the piano and tried to fix the sustain pedal. It takes him 15 minutes to find the defect.
THE MUSIC BEGINS!
Played "Let It Be for the Zambians who taught Roberto the word 'Thank You' in their language which is easy to remember because it's a name of a girl "Natasha".
When the other members of Palau team -Eric Ksau Whipps, Bheng Codinera Mendoza, Gladys Anne Francisco Paloma, Cyril Tomas Almitante-Montel, Bernard Garcia, Dennis R Gonzales, Joy Balute Flores, Destiny Sisior, Angie Parrado and Jeff Balbalosa - came closer to the piano, THE KARAOKE (SING-ALONG) BEGINS!
