ROUND 5 OF 2016
WORLD CHESS OLYMPIAD IN
BAKU, AZERBAIJAN
Somalia --- 3.5 -- Palau .5
The Palau Chess Team for Round 5 of 2016 World Chess Olympiad in Baku, Azerbaijan underestimated the Somalian team that don't have even a single player with a FIDE rating.
All players from Board 1-3 (Paquito Suringa, Jr., Allan Alcid and Jeff Balbalosa, respectively) move so fast that they are beaten quickly.
At Board 4, Roberto Hernandez averted a shutout when he was forced to a draw by Mohamed Ahmed Nor after the latter captured Roberto's bishop with a rook to leave them with a king each, a pawn for Nor and a knight for Roberto.
