(850) PHOTOS (WEEK 5 -- 2014 PALAU NATIONAL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP) Dec. 21, 2014

First game appearance of Joey Jaime Balute, left, against Felix Oling. Their game lasted only 11 moves. In the background is the game between CM Bernardo Garcia, 2nd from left, and NM Tito Cabunagan, who always mixed his notation with English and Algebraic. Bernard has written 60 moves, Tito only wrote 58 moves. Out of 58 notations of Tito, 30 are wrong as he wrote those in mixture of English and Algebraic. Tito, Menandro Manuel and Jose Celiz are the 3 players (all National Masters), who wrote their notations in mixture. Manuel has improved a lot and don't mix it anymore.       (Photo by Roberto Hernandez)
