(1510) MUSIC AND ME (March 01, 2018) YUKO'S FRIEND REQUESTED "CROCODILE ROCK"

            YUKO'S FRIEND REQUESTED
                 "CROCODILE ROCK"

I've got no tips on that night of January 15, 2018 at Waves Restaurant of Palau Royal Resort. When I proceed to Breeze Bar to play another 2 hours of instrumental keyboard music, it looks like I will get no tips for the night.

2 old Japanese ladies sat in front of the keyboard, followed by a lone Japanese lady next to their table. I started playing Japanese songs and the 2 ladies appreciated my music. At first, I thought the lone lady is a Taiwanese/Chinese so I played sparingly Taiwanese/Chinese songs which has no response/applause from the lone lady that's why I figured it out that she is Japanese when she started to sing along with me when I am singing Japanese songs.

Later, the lone lady called her friend and she was joined by a rugged looking old Japanese guy, who often request Japanese songs and American songs.

I am inspired to sing for them and started to received single dollar tips from the guy.

I am sweating when I finished at 11 pm and have photo sessions with the 2 ladies with my purple polo shirt showing signs of perspiration. One of the 2 ladies gave me $10.00 tip while the guy at the other table have given me a total of $4.00 single dollar bills. I gave 4 of them my card.

The next day, Jan. 16, the lone lady come again by herself. I didn't recognize her and her nationality again so I played Chinese/Taiwanese music in which she didn't sing along.
At 11 pm, I come to her and gave her my card. She said I gave her already my card last night.

She asked me to sit at her table and offered me a drink. I prefer red wine--good for the heart. She said her husband died a few years ago. Before going, I asked for her name and she said "Yuko".

On Jan. 17, she came earlier than her friend. When he comes, he requested some Elton John songs. After playing some Elton John songs, he requested "Crocodile Rock", which is the first time that it was requested to me.

I took out my green notebook where the "Crocodile Rock" was written by me manually and sang it to his delight. He gave $3.00 this time.
