TOP 100 CHESS PLAYERS
IN THE WORLD
In February 2013, Philippines top chess player Wesley So
is number 50 in the list of world’s top 100 chess players. A year later, he
became no. 18 with 2738 rating!

Players of the world for the month of Feb. 2014:

The
Micronesian Open 2014 will now be for local players only with the 10-player
round-robin event among the members of Palau Chess team to Norway World Chess
Olympiad. Another tournament for 1500 and below will coincide with the event
but will be finished till May 2014.
Mr. Brian Jones will be the
supervising arbiter, Eric Ksau Whipps will be the deputy arbiter while Roberto
Hernandez will be the arbiter in the 1500 and below category.
Mr. Jones and his wife Margaret
are booked at Palau Royal Resort from Feb. 18-25 and the round-robin of 10
players will be held during their stay.
